This purpose-built motorcycle recovery unit was designed by a biker and can be used for scooters and motorcycles up to and including a 1000cc. The floor drops down to a level loading position, which enables the technician to load the bike safely and secure without fear of damage. Once the bike is strapped in, the floor raises to transport position and, being completely enclosed, is free from the elements of nature. |

Car & Small Van Recovery
As soon as we receive the call and all the relevant information we dispatch one of our trucks appropriate to the job. This could be a spec lift or a flatbed tilt & slide. For vehicles that have more than 2 people we would send out our crew cab, we can easily accommodate up to 6 passengers comfortably.

Van Recovery
Generally we would use one of our mid range spec lifts and either front lift which would entail removing the prop shaft for transportation purposes or a rear lift depending on the position or the purpose of the recovery. Panel vans and drop sided vehicles can be moved using our 12ton flatbed which has a carrying capacity of 5tons.

Rigid Trucks
These come in all shapes and sizes from as small as 3.5ton to the ever-popular 7.5ton, onto 32ton 4 axle tippers. The reason for the recovery and whether the vehicle is loaded or unloaded and with what, can present its own set of problems. Again like the large vans we would generally use and under-lift vehicle either suspending the front or the rear axles for towing. Anything requiring a total lift in this category would be recovered on our Low Loader, which is on the “specialist page”.

The bigger and longer they are the more skills are needed in moving such vehicles. A fully loaded double deck trailer with a three axle unit connected to one of our wreckers is more like a road train than a normal vehicle with the total length nearly 100ft long and close to 70tons depending on the cargo, but to us it’s all in a day’s work. |

Buses & Coaches
Some may say that a bus and a coach are the same but they are not. With the configuration of each type is different depending on the manufacture of the body and this will dramatically affect the way the vehicle is recovered. Some can only be lifted using wheel grids, others on axles or chassis beams on occasions depending on the incident we would use our Low Loader. |
