Doug Goldsmith of GMS (Goldsmith Motor Services) another long-standing company with year on year growth, is also a well-known figure within the motor trade. A partnership seemed to be the right course of action as both parties were tackling the same market with repairs and recovery, and together they could offer the complete package and more. So in 2003 SRE Rescue and Recovery was born.

Over the years the customer base has grown, with SRE being the preferred supplier to nearly all the main commercial dealers within and around the Croydon area. Taking into account the in-house client service questionnaires, as a company we are proud to share that all of our clients surveyed commented that our company's overall service is of a very good to excellent standard. Additional comments stated were, for example "We feel that SRE are an extension of the service that we provide and conduct themselves in the same professional manner that we ourselves extend to our customers".

In 2008 even more changes took place as SRE took on several public sector contracts to include the recovery of Dustcarts, sweepers etc and buses. The company moved even further into plant movements throughout the UK and for the first time European Recovery too.
